My name is Shirley and I am the owner, operator, and creator of ShirleyBee Designs.
How We Started
A Simple Gift Became So Much More
It started with a simple gift, my partner couldn't figure out what to get his mother for Mother's Day. I had felt I needed a hobby to be able to de-stress after a stressful teaching day, so I invested in craft materials to create a unique gift for my partner, who is an only child. I created a simple glass tile saying 'Mom' with his name across. When I posted it online for friends to see, they loved it, they wanted more! From there I found a love of creating personalized gifts. For each item I made, handing it off to a happy person who was so eager to pass it along to a loved one created a bubble of joy in my life. Since that time, I have strived to put a smile on every customer's face by creating the perfect item for them and have expanded from glass tiles to t-shirts, to aprons, to drinkware, to wall decals, and more. I absolutely love creating, designing, and letting go of my worries for a few minutes everyday to hopefully make others' smile.
